The Haywood story begins in 1973 when Peter Haywood chose the 280 acres off of Gehricke Road above all other to farm Haywood wines. 36 years later Haywood remains a pioneer and one of the premier Sonoma Valley estate producers committed to responsible farming and small-scale, meticulous winemaking focussed on site-specific wines. The Haywood property is a ranch - home to dogs, chickens, gardens, 3 ponds, and is approximately 75% solar powered.
