A third generation San Franciscan, Judy came to painting later in life, after careers as mother, teacher, gallery associate and earning a MFA degree at Fiberworks in Berkeley, Calif. Bold and audacious are the marks of the palette she uses. Her landscapes evoke not only a sense of place, but startle and soothe with their bright colors and simple forms. Widely collected, Judy was recently commissioned to create book covers for guides to the Sonoma Valley, Napa Valley and Carmel / Monterey, California.
