Willow Wood Market Cafe opened on September 1st 1995 in what is now the front section of the cafe. There were seven tables and the bar. Matthew Greenbaum cooked, his mother, Sonja baked, and Lulu Spittles waited tables and ran the store. Mike Thibault assisted all three and did dishes. We served breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday. For the first few months Lulu opened the Market on Sundays on her own to sell groceries and gifts and serve coffee and pastries from 10am until 4pm. The back room was an art and gift gallery. The current dessert station was a delicatessen and there was a camping mattress in the office.
