George is a journalist and amateur naturalist. He has worked with Associated Press, KPIX/KGO TV, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Modesto Bee and Sonoma West Publishers. The horseman and former cattleman currently is land manager for Mountain Wolf Ranch in Occidental. An associate member of the California Indian Basketweavers and a former member of the Sonoma County Fish & Wildlife Advisory Commission, Goerge is of Cherokee and Choctaw heritage, among other things.
